Our Curriculum
At Rosella Park School, we deliver a highly individualised and engaging curriculum that supports every student to learn, communicate and thrive. Our teaching and learning programs are aligned with the Australian Curriculum Version 9, with adjustments made to ensure meaningful access for students with diverse learning needs across Prep to Year 12.
Our curriculum places a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, communication, personal and social capability, and life-skills learning. Teachers use whole-school planning, evidence-based programs and Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) to tailor learning goals, teaching strategies and assessment to each student's strengths, interests and needs.
Senior Schooling
For students in our senior phase of learning (Years 10–12), we provide a pathway that supports the development of independence, functional life skills and community participation. Students work towards their Guideline for Individual Learning (GIL) goals, which are designed to build their skills in communication, personal development, vocational learning, travel training, and community engagement.
GIL goals are created in partnership with families to ensure each student's post-school aspirations are supported. Senior students engage in practical learning experiences such as work exploration, community access, independent living skills and school-based enterprise activities.
Our Commitment
Across all year levels, we work closely with families, therapists and support staff to ensure consistent, meaningful learning for every student. Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all students can experience success, celebrate their achievements and be prepared for life beyond school.
