Positive Behaviour for Learning and Berry Street Education Model

At Rosella Park School, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework and Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) practices work together to create calm, predictable and supportive learning environments for every student. PBL helps our whole school teach and reinforce our three expectations—Respectful, Positive and Safe—so students know exactly what these behaviours look like in classrooms, the playground and across our land-learning spaces.

Families will notice consistent language, clear routines and a strong focus on acknowledging and celebrating positive choices. BSEM complements this by supporting students to build regulation, resilience and readiness for learning. Through intentional strategies that help students feel safe, connected and confident, our staff teach skills for managing emotions, developing strong relationships and engaging in learning with success. Together, PBL and BSEM ensure that every student is supported to grow academically, socially and emotionally—in a school environment where wellbeing is prioritised and every child can thrive.
